I never see anyone actually getting any significant donations on tumblr and to be honest, tumblr is the worst place to ask for assistance. Use it as your last resort, it frustrates me to no end seeing people begging for help, reblogging the same post over and over, the same types of posts over and over, to no avail, when people are waiting to help you on a different part of the web GO TO WHERE THE HELP IS. Interdimensional Brain: B99 has had plots and subplots about the problems with the police as an institution since it started. The episode that was specifically about racial profiling wasn’t anything new for the show, which has consistently featured “good guys who are cops” as its protagonists instead of a simplistic “cops are the good guys” narrative, making it very much not propaganda. It isn’t “cop propaganda” any more than The Office is “capitalist propaganda” or Parks and Recreation is “state propaganda.” Let’s realize that a workplace comedy being set in an institution you disagree with doesn’t make it propaganda.

unpopular opinion but remember that there is no use of him doing anything like that - especially a celebrity- unless there is actual activism to back it up
It’s kind of incredible how I can be continuously disappointed by almost every single book-to-movie adaptation, and still somehow get my hopes up every time a new one is announced that maybe - just maybe - this will be the one that finally works.
The “Log Off” protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW.
This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer.
So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.
